Reports emerging from the United States indicate that Washington is preparing to intensify its military operations against Iran following the deaths of four American soldiers in attacks attributed to Iranian forces in the Middle East.
According to The Washington Post, the United States is deploying additional fighter jets and other military assets to the region as part of preparations for what could become a significantly larger military operation.
U.S. government reports confirm that four American service members were killed in the Iranian attacks.
In recent days, American military installations across the region have also come under repeated missile and drone strikes, leaving many troops wounded and damaging several Black Hawk helicopters.
As tensions continue to escalate, the Pentagon is increasing the number of military aircraft deployed to the Middle East to strengthen its ability to respond to any further Iranian aggression.
A senior U.S. official, speaking anonymously to The Washington Post, said the country is preparing for a much broader military campaign.
“The United States is preparing for an all-out war,” the official said.
However, the official also warned that U.S. stockpiles of missiles and air-defense systems are being rapidly depleted after months of military operations.
“The remaining supplies are not sufficient to sustain a prolonged campaign, and I’m not sure the White House fully understands the situation,” the official added.
On Friday, Axios reported that the United States had informed Israel that it would deploy additional aerial refueling aircraft to support fighter jets, signaling preparations for a possible expansion of military operations against Iran.
On the Iranian side, security analyst Saeid Golkar warned that the conflict could soon spiral into a much more dangerous phase.
“The situation is escalating very rapidly and could soon exceed the ability of either side to control it. There is a real risk of a full-scale war, as both sides appear determined to continue fighting,” Golkar said.
Despite the U.S. military buildup, an analysis by CNN suggests that achieving a decisive military victory over Iran would remain a difficult and lengthy challenge.
The conflict between the United States and Iran began on February 28, 2026, after military strikes launched by the United States in coordination with Israel.
The war has also had major consequences for the global economy.
Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route through which nearly 20% of the world’s daily oil supply passes, has heightened concerns over global energy markets and international trade.
